Development on Urgent Contact is currently suspended while I work on mastering Android so I can release an app that's fully compatible with all devices.
Urgent Contact is the app you hope you never need, but will be glad you have if you ever do. It's main purpose is to make sure you are never unreachable by close friends or family if an emergency arises. You create a secret password. If someone is trying to get a hold of you and can't possibly because you have your phone on silent or vibrate (movie or meeting) or just have the volumes turned way down (asleep at night) they can text you the password and it will turn your phone off of silent mode and raise your volume levels (you control to what level) so that when they call you back, they know your phone will ring.
Urgent Contact allows you to choose the password as well as what volume level you want your volume changed to. You can also activate a vibration warning pattern. When activated, there's a 10-15 second specific vibration pattern that will warn you of an incoming emergency text containing the password BEFORE raising your volumes. So if you're in a meeting or at a movie, you can excuse yourself and call the person back yourself without disturbing anyone.
There are many apps out there that you let you designate certain people to always override your silent/vibrate settings, but 99% of the time when those people call you it's not an emergency or even an important call. With Urgent Contact your settings only get overridden when the person contacting you deems it an emergency or important enough to interrupt you if necessary.
And in case of crazy ex's, you can always change the password.
Right now, Urgent Contact is in Beta Testing. If you'd like to test it out, send me a message via the Contact Tab above.
